WCS Water Testing Update

Yellowknife Catholic Schools has received updated water testing results for Weledeh Catholic School. While all YCS schools have been using bottled water as a proactive measure since December, recent results confirmed that some fixtures at WCS show lead and copper levels above the maximum acceptable concentration.

Please be advised:

All Schools Remain Open
Continued Safety Measures: We will continue to provide bottled water for all students and staff to ensure the highest level of safety.
GNWT Remediation: The GNWT is implementing remediation measures, including replacing fixtures and installing filters.
