Junior Kindergarten

Yellowknife Catholic Schools introduced Junior Kindergarten in our schools August 2017.  We offer English and English on the land based programs at Weledeh Catholic School. These programs are staffed by Early Childhood Educators with a Lead Instructor and an Assistant.

Our Junior Kindergarten classrooms will follow the NWT JK/K curriculum which focuses on play based learning.  This is a program that focuses on socialization, creative play, literacy and school readiness skills.  Children learn through play and use past experiences to build and provide opportunity for each child to become more familiar with the world around them.

Children must be four years of age on or before December 31st.  This is a full-time program with the option of registering part-time.
