- Grades 4-6
- Grades 7-8
Wolves 4 the World (W4W) is Weledeh's social justice group which raises money and awareness of social justice issues both locally and internationally. There are two groups, one at the elementary level and one at the middle school level. This year W4W will be supporting the international organization, SOPAR. SOPAR is a non-profit organization devoted to international development in India. W4W has decided to become part of their "Children Changing the World" program which introduces young people to the theme of water, allowing them to be part of the solution by building water wells.
- VOW OF SILENCE CAMPAIGN
- Yellowknife, NT: On March 1, 2011, Wolves 4 The World, a social justice group from Weledeh Catholic School, participated in a "Vow of Silence" campaign. This campaign was an opportunity for them to raise awareness on human rights issues and stand in solidarity with the youth around the world who do not have a voice.
- Approximately 50 students collected pledges from the community and remained silent for a period of 24 hours. This included any form of communication - no talking, e-mail, text messages, hand gestures, miming, sign language, saying words without making the sound etc. Notes were permissible as long as the information was important or related to class activities. If students were to break their vows, they would be responsible for returning any pledges collected to their sponsors.
- The money raised will go to help our chosen charity this year; SOPAR.

A letter of thanks from SOPAR - Way to Go Wolves!
We acknowledge having received the amount of $3000.00, cheque number 3491, from
Weledeh Catholic School within the context of the Children Changing the World! These
funds will allow us to build four (4) wells which will help in preventing diseases, improving
hygiene and reducing the work load of women and children who often have to walk long
distance to fetch water.
We would like to congratulate all the students and the staff of your school for their involvement
in reducing poverty and in international co-operation.
SOPAR is proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with you and the members of your
school:
THANK YOU
Sincerely,
