Rotary Readers 2010-11
Grade One students "crashed" the Rotary Luncheon today to deliver a big thank you card and sing a special Thank You song. Even Lupi joined in on the fun!
Thank you to all the people who took time out of their lives to spend time with our students. You DO make a difference.
Waiting, as quiet as mice!
Surprise, we're here!

Happy New Year Rotary Readers! It was great to see some of you in with your buddies last week. The students are looking forward to seeing you and reading with you!
November 3, 2010
Already a few readers have stopped in and spent some time with their buddy! Please remember that on Thursdays if you pick up your buddy around 11:30, they may bring their lunch with them. Our lunch break (the eating time) on Thursday is 11:40 - 12:05, with lunch recess from 12:05 - 12:35, so please have your buddy back to the classroom for 12 so they may get ready for their outside time.
November 2, 2010
We are ready to go. Some readers have asked when they should go, so here is a short explanation.
You go according to your own schedule. You will find a school timetable in the blue folder (given out at our orientation meeting or you can pick one up at the library when you go) that will let you know what is happening with your class at any given time. You may want to avoid gym times but if by chance your class isn't in their room the secretaries will help you out.
Stop by the office and sign in on the bulletin board - take a reader's badge and head over to the Grade One class.
Let the teacher know you are there to read with your buddy and you can head up to the library for some quality time.
The secretaries, teachers and librarian can help you out if you have any questions at all.
You may also call the school if you are wanting to make sure your buddy is in attendance 873-5591- personally I just show up and if my buddy is absent I take someone else.
Thanks again for participating - have fun! R.A.

Please remember to complete your Criminal Records Check, if you have not done so already.
Ruth will be letting everyone know their pairings today and we will be ready to see readers in the school beginning on Tuesday November 2.
We are looking forward to a great year!
