Literacy and Numeracy Through Quilting
Full! Accepting names for a waiting list.
Join in on our ten-week program and learn how to Quilt!
Limited to six families (1 adult & 1 student, grade 4 and over = a family)
There is no charge for this program, you will get to keep some great quilting books and your finished project!
Sewing machines and all supplies will be available for use by program participants.
Tuesday evenings, October 4 – December 6, 2011.

During May 2011 we welcomed three Canadian authors/illustrators into our school. Students enjoyed presentations by Janet Wilson, Eugenie Fernandes and Jan Andrews.

Yellowknife Book Cellar bookworm points - When you shop at the local book store, please think of Weledeh and donate your stamps to us. Or you may donate your full cards, by dropping them off at the school library. We use these donations to buy books, awards and prizes. Thank You!
Welcome to the Dr. Loretta Foley Library, Weledeh Catholic School!
Our collection is approximately 25,000 items to include books, magazines, videos, kits, audio visual equipment, CD's, textbooks, novel units and audio books. A Teacher Resource section for staff and a Parent Resources section for parents and staff are well stocked. Four computers are available for staff and student use. All computers are hooked up to the Internet for school related use. Classes are scheduled for one visit per six day cycle but students may come to the library at any time with teacher permission.
Borrowing
Grades K to 3 may borrow one book at a time for a two-week loan period.
Grades 4 to 8 may borrow two books at a time for two weeks.
Any student who has an overdue book may not sign out any other material until the overdue is taken care of; returned, paid for or replaced with a new book of equal value.
All staff and student materials are to be returned in June.
We do not charge for overdue or late materials but the expectation is that lost or damaged materials will be paid for.
