Exploratories

CTS/Exploratories is available to all middle school students. This program offers a wide
variety of courses which allow students to experience different areas of learning and
career exploration. CTS accredited courses (Career Technology Studies) provide the
opportunity for grade 7 & 8 to earn high school credits. Exploratories/CTS sessions last
twelve weeks and rotate three times a year. Students will decide at the beginning of the
year which exploratories they will choose to take. Some CTS courses are mandatory for
all grade 7 & 8 students. These mandatory courses include: Computer Operations,
Keyboarding and Workplace Safety and the Young Worker.
